Abstract
Piper betle L. can inhibit the growth of Bacillus cereus bacteria using the sensitivity test of the disc diffusion method and the well diffusion method with solid media. Sensitivity test on bacteria using MHA and NAP media. The purpose of this study was to compare these methods and media based on the diameter of the inhibition zone. This study used green betel leaf extract and Bacillus cereus bacteria. The results showed that there were different zones of inhibition in the MHA and NAP disc diffusion methods, the MHA and NAP media well diffusion methods. From these results, it was found that the inhibition zone on disc diffusion in media MH compared to NAP media, while in the pitting method the inhibitory zone was found to be larger NAP than media MHA. This data was analyzed using SPSS, with the Twoway Anova test with results <0.005, which means that H1 was accepted with an average inhibition zone of 0.131mm. it can be concluded that there are differences in the zone of inhibition in the variation of methods and growth media using green betel leaf extract against Bacillus cereus bacteria.
