PERBANDINGAN EFEKTIVITAS KONSENTRASI BATANG SERAI SEBAGAI INSEKTISIDA TERHADAP MORTALITAS LARVA Aedes aegypty INSTAR III

The use of lemongrass stem juice is used as larvicide for Aedes sp mosquitoes which are the main vectors of dengue hemorrhagic fever. Larvicidal method with the effectiveness of kitchen lemongrass stem extract which has a larvicidal effect on Aedes sp larvae due to the content of lemongrass which has larvicidal properties with compositions such as flavonoids, saponins and tannins. The purpose of this study was to test the effectiveness of citronella juice as a larvicide of Aedes sp. The lemongrass extract was divided into four groups, namely with various concentrations of 20%, 30%, 40% and 50% in the manufacture of 700 grams of lemongrass stems using 250 larvae of Aedes sp instar III with 3 repetitions. This researcher uses the Experimental Method. The mortality results from each concentration were different with 8 hours of testing from a concentration of 20% as much as 85%, at a concentration of 30% as much as 95% at a concentration of 40% and 50% larvae mortality as much as 100%. From the results of this study, the most effective concentrations used were concentrations of 40% and 50%. Based on the ANOVA test, a p value of 0.002 was obtained so that the study had a different comparison. Suggestions from this researcher, can be an insight and additional experience for students, especially in Health Analyst Students in the field of Parasitology.
