Abstract
Antibacterials are ingredients or drugs used to kill bacteria in humans. Some plants have properties as antibacterial. The use of herbal medicines derived from herbs and spices has fewer side effects compared to chemical drugs. Some plants are antibacterial and are able to treat wound infections caused by staphylococcus aureus bacteria namely red jarak (Jatropha gossypifolia L.), aloe vera (Aloe vera L.), and green betel (Piper betle L.). This antibacterial effectiveness test uses disc diffusion methods and extraction methods using the maseration method. This study uses literature review to find references or literature used. The purpose of this study is to find out the influence of variations in red distance extracts, aloe vera and green betel and to find out which plant extracts are most effective in inhibiting the growth of Staphylococcus aureus bacteria. Green betel leaf extract has the largest slave zone with an average value of 21.3 mm at a concentration of 100% compared to red and aloe vera extracts. The results prove that the most effective plant extract in inhibiting Staphylococcus aureus bacteria is a green betel leaf extract with a inhibition zone of 21.3 mm and is said to be in a very strong category because it has a slave zone with a diameter ≥20 mm (Purnamaningsih, 2017).
