PEMERIKSAAN NEMATODA USUS PADA FESES BREEDING KUCING DENGAN METODE FLOTASI (PENGAPUNGAN) DAN SEDIMENTASI (PENGENDAPAN) DI PETSHOP KECAMATAN GRESIK

Cats live in close proximity to humans. Therefore cats as a temporary host for parasites that can infect humans, one of which is intestinal nematodes. Cat feces is a major cause of transmission of diseases that infect humans (zoonoses).This research was conducted to determine the presence of intestinal nematodes in cat feces by the method of flotation and sedimentation. Each stool sample was taken randomly from several petshops in Gresik, East Java.From the research results obtained Hookworm eggs (hookworm) in cat feces samples by sedimentation method. While the flotation method was not found the presence of eggs or intestinal nematode worms.
