Abstract

Metals include non-essential heavy metals that have a toxic impact and can cause poisoning. One of these heavy metals is lead (Pb). Pb is very toxic to the body which can cause anemia, hypertension, kidney damage, and so on. The purpose of this study was to reduce the levels of lead Pb in wastewater intermediates using aking rice as adsorbent. The reduction in Pb levels was carried out using a spectrophotometric method with a maximum wavelength of 500 nm at an absorbance of 0.120. The concentration of Pb was obtained with each immersion time of 0.5 hours. The results of the study were obtained with an immersion time of 0.5 hours 72 ppm (-35.16 %), 127 ppm (-63.24%), 200.13 ppm (-76.67%). And at 24 hours 9.5 ppm (391.45%), 89.5 ppm (-47.84%), 153.56 ppm (-69.60). And at 72 hours, the result was 16,063 ppm (190.66%), 101,063 ppm (-53.80%), 173.56 ppm (-73.10%).
